OUR ENVIRONMENTAL EXPERTS

Jerry G. Sonier: President

Mr. Jerry Sonier served his country from 1978 to 1981 as an U.S. Army Military Police Officer (attached to U.S. Marine Corps). He has worked in or around the environmental and safety field since the early 1990’s and has approximately 25 years of experience in our line of work. He has held many highly regarded positions in the environmental and safety industry including being a safety inspector/coordinator at Borinquen Insulation 92’-95’, a senior project manager at Safety Inc. 95’-98’, President at Superior Abatement, Inc. (98-99), and also President at GFI Environmental Group 99’-03’ as well. He has an extensive background in the environmental and safety fields, as well as managing large projects and crews. Mr. Sonier was one of the founding partners of our company, and is now our President here at SETX Environmental (ASE Services).

Licenses that he currently holds with the Texas Department of State Health Services includes:

Individual Asbestos Management Planner, Mold Assessment Consultant, & Lead Inspector.

Lewis A. Lowery: Vice-President

Mr. Lowery proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1968. He has been in the Environmental Industry since the mid 1980’s, and has over 30 years of experience in this field. He has held many high positions in different Environmental companies throughout the years including being Vice-President of Operations at P&H Asbestos Removal Inc. from 86’ -90’, Vice-President at Clark Tech Environmental Systems Inc. from 91’-98’, and also Owner and Vice-President at Assured Environmental Quality Inc. from 98’-02’. His many years of hands on experience has given him an extensive knowledge of the environmental industry and provided him with a solid background in the field. Lewis was also a founding partner of “ASE” and is currently our Vice-President.

Asbestos Consultant & Mold Assessment Consultant.

Justin C. Sonier: Project Manager


Mr. Justin Sonier has been working for our company for eight years. He has been continuously learning the ins-and-outs of the environmental consulting and safety fields since then, and has already earned an impressive background while working for our company. Mr. Sonier has been exceeding expectations since the very start, from small inspections to managing lengthy, large-scale projects. He is also the son of our companies President Jerry Sonier, and is hoping one day to follow in his father’s footsteps helping to keep the people of Texas safe from environmental health and safety hazards as the head of SETX Environmental.

Mold Assessment Consultant, Asbestos Project Manager, Asbestos Inspector, & Asbestos Air Monitoring Technician.

NIOSH 582 Equivalent (Sampling and Evaluating Airborne Asbestos Dust)


Sam Huff: Project Manager

Sam Huff is a project manager with three years of experience in the mold and asbestos industry. His work in the field has included the oversight of a mold remediation project of all the interior sheetrock in a Courtyard Marriot Hotel, participation in an asbestos inspection survey that covered the La Marque, TX school district, and being a project manager and air monitoring technician on many asbestos abatement projects. Sam holds a B.A. in Biology from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA and before coming to work at ASE Services was a deckhand on a salmon seining vessel in Cordova, Alaska. He now resides and works out of the Galveston area.

Asbestos Project Manager, Asbestos Inspector, Asbestos Air Monitoring Technician

Other Licenses Include:
